Thanks Tony, They do look a bit blocky as standard, very solid and functional though.

Phil
I would be concerned about the PTFE rings being damaged by the transfer ports, especially with o-rings underneath giving them a push. Have done it myself, and watched the PTFE ring come squirming out at one end.
While you have the sleeves out you could have a good look, and feel, if there is any risk. It is the ends by the cut, expansion slit in the ring that is at greatest risk. Big, fat PTFE tyres seem to cope OK though.

Hi Norm, Thanks for your input and it’s noted. As I said in an earlier post, I’m not a huge fan of the Teflon valve bobbins, I tried them on my class 4 and found they expanded a little too much for my liking and leaked when running on air. Many people swear by them though so perhaps I just haven’t got the technique correct yet. The thing that made me reconsider the Teflon was the condition of the seals when I removed them, there was no sign of damage or distortion, So I will suss things out as we progress.

Hi Phil
Regarding image sizing, as you are using Imgur, all you need to do is add a letter before the decimal point... I have found that large is the best size and so add an 'l'. just place it before .jpg. there is also 'm' for medium and 's' for small, as you have found in some cases the default is very large. I use the default if trying to show more detail/clarity for viewers.
regards
Pete

Hi Pete, I have been reducing the image sizes to 480x640 before posting. Is this still too large? Phil

Phil To be honest, I have no idea, I'm no expert on IT, the details that I gave were given by another forum member some years ago, a lady from Aus who's named/ID I forget. I have found that adding the 'l' seems to work fine no matter what the image size begins with. Pete

I use an ipad most of the time to read this forum and the photos above show fine for me....sometimes though, certain members photos do take a while to “load”.
Cheers Don

Exactly so. I use 600 x 800, but it is still a lot less than the original megapixel image. (Flickr has more image size options, and a different code.) If somebody needs a higher-definition view than the resolution you have chosen, they can click on the image, which should take them to the original in Flickr (or Imgur ?). From there they can usually download a full-resolution copy if they really need it- but I doubt if anybody does. Gary

Phil Thanks for that Phil, we will all look forward to seeing your progress. One thing about posting progress regularly- it does tend to make think harder about methods, and that gets the job done better. Or it might just be luck! Gary
